Ah!!!! A Day in the Life…
Dogs need to be on a schedule! In fact, it's a well known fact that when they have structure and a
schedule dogs are the happiest and most well behaved! We have a very structured day care at A Diamond
in the Ruff. Everyone is dropped off at the same time in the morning and at 9:00AM we all go out for the first time. After the
potty break
it's TIME FOR PLAY and the FUN begins! Like regular daycare, our "kids" have snacks, play time and
Nap time, as well as time-outs, as needed. A Diamond in the Ruff provides soft beds and a quiet area
if needed.
Lunch time is at NOON (everyone at least gets a snack) and Nap time is from 1:00PM - 2:00pm and then
it's time to PLAY, PLAY, PLAY again! People start to come in and pick up their dogs and the excitement
sets in - every time the door opens they can't wait to see if it's their Mom or Dad coming to get them,
so they can tell you all about the fun and exciting day they had at A Diamond in the Ruff.
To be sure that your dog has the most fun possible, the total number of dogs each day is limited. We make
every effort to prevent overcrowding, and to give careful attention to each individual guest, by adhering to
a daily reservation system. Dogs are grouped according to size and activity level, depending on each day's
space availability,
and appropriate play is orchestrated by the experienced pet care specialists.
Our rubber floors in the daycare areas provide anti-fatigue qualities that reduce the amount of stress on
your dog’s joints, back and muscles.
To assure the comfort and safety of your dog at A Diamond in the Ruff we do have a FREE initial interview
with you and your dog. At the time of this visit we also wish to learn from you as much as possible about
your pet's individual needs, likes and dislikes. We will observe your dog's reaction to being separated
from you, and then accompany your dog through an evaluation called a temperament assessment. This is to
ensure everyone involved is safe and will have a good time.
We welcome you to be present during evaluation session.
